A new segment/addition to my blog I want to start writing about is styling. I recently thrifted this beautiful polyester satin blouse and was immediately inspired to use it as a focal styling opportunity. I wanted to show the different ways to take one piece of clothing and change its entire look. I also wanted to display my personal twist on how I create my outfits. I was immediately drawn and attracted to the pattern/colors and tailored the following looks accordingly.
This first look is my personal favorite, I used a warm toned suede skirt to balance out the cool blue hues in the blouse. It created a more neutral outfit with a splash of color that could be casual or formal depending on the accessories paired. For accessories I decided to wear a similar tan colored pair of heeled booties to elevate my look. For a more casual look with this skirt, pair this together with either sandals or sneakers.
These baggy cargo denim jeans tone the formal blouse down, it also makes for a fun throwback to early 2000’s fashion. I paired platform white tennis shoes to complete a more casual look but adding a pair of heels could also make this outfit a little elevated.
With this look, I wanted to combine laid-back and elevation into one final product. I paired the blouse with distressed denim shorts, thigh high boots and a striped over-sized blazer. With my personal style, I love mixing patterns which is why I chose this particular blazer displayed here. I also think highlighting certain areas of the body is a good way to coordinate an outfit with accessories. The accessories added are all neutral! to balance everything out and leaving the blouse to speak color for itself.

I filmed a video on this styling segment as well, you can watch that here!
